Mark Drew has served since 2006 as the Managing Shareholder of Maynard Cooper & Gale, an Alabama-based law firm with more than 225 attorneys.  His practice focuses primarily on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, venture capital financings and related corporate activities and transactions, including significant experience in international joint ventures. He regularly represents both public and private companies in a variety of matters and also has substantial experience representing financial institutions.

In addition to serving as the 2014 Campaign Chairman for United Way of Central Alabama, Mark serves on the board of directors of several organizations, including the Innovation Depot, the Birmingham Museum of Art, the Birmingham Business Alliance and PARCA.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Wake Forest University and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Mark is married to Patricia Drew and they have four children: Mallie, a graduate of the University of Alabama and a current student at Beeson Divinity School; Mark, a graduate of the University of Alabama; Caroline, a junior at Wake Forest; and Tillman, a senior at Mountain Brook High School.

2013 Annual Report


John Turner joined Regions in 2011 and oversees banking operations in the South Region, which includes Alabama, Mississippi, South Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle. He is a member of the company’s Operating Committee.

Turner was named president of Whitney National Bank and Whitney Holding Corporation and was elected to the bank and holding company Boards of Directors in 2008. Previous to this he served as Division Executive, Banking Division, with responsibility for all geographic line banking functions across the bank, and as the company’s Eastern Region President. Turner joined Whitney in 1994 as its Alabama regional president after serving in senior consumer and business positions with AmSouth Bank.

Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia.

Turner is a former chairman of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, former chairman of the Mobile Area Education Foundation, a former chairman of the United Way of Southwest Alabama, and a graduate of Leadership Alabama.  He is a former board member of Leadership Mobile, Greater New Orleans, Inc. and The Idea Village.  Turner currently serves on the PARCA board, the board of The Business Council of Alabama, A+ Education Partnership, Infirmary Health Systems and is a member of the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce Board of Visitors.
