2010 Campaign Chair

Dudley Reynolds

 

Dudley Reynolds is currently President and Chief Operating Officer of Alabama Gas Corporation. A native of Anniston, Alabama, he attended the Anniston Academy, graduating in 1971. He attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina graduating in 1975 with a B.A. Degree in History. While at Furman, he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and played varsity tennis for four years. Following graduation, he attended the University of Georgia Law School in Athens, Georgia where he received his JD degree in 1978.

He is a member of the Bar Associations in Alabama, Georgia and Birmingham. He is a past Chairman of the Legal Section Managing Committee of the American Gas Association, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Gas Association, is a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham and the Monday Morning Quarterback Club. He also serves on the Board of Directors of United Way of Central Alabama (currently 2010 Campaign Chairman), the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama, and the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Ballet. He is also on the Board of Governors of the Summit Club. He is also a member of the Dean’s Community Advisory Committee of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry and is also on the Birmingham Advisory Board for Regions Financial Corporation. In July, 1990 he was named as one of Birmingham's "Top 40 under 40" business and civic leaders. He participated in the 1993-94 class of "Leadership Birmingham" and the 2001-2002 class of Leadership Alabama.

Mr. Reynolds joined Energen in April of 1980 as a Staff Attorney. From this position, he was promoted to Senior Attorney in 1985, Assistant Secretary in June, 1985 and Vice President, Legal and Secretary in 1987, General Counsel of the company in 1991 and President and Chief Operating Officer of Alabama Gas Corporation in 2003.

Dudley and his wife, Neal, who is also an attorney, live in Birmingham.

 

 

 

2010 Pacesetter Chair - William Morton

 

Bill Morton is President & CEO of Robins & Morton, a family owned General Contracting firm specializing in health care. Bill is a 1987 graduate of Auburn University where he earned a degree in Building Science. Robins & Morton was also recognized in 2010 as the #1 General Contractor in Modern Healthcare’s magazine. It has also been recognized in Engineering New Record's list of Top 400 Contractors.

Bill is a second generation United Way volunteer/donor and has passion for the mission. Since 2007 he has been a member of the Tocqueville Society whose members give at the highest levels. Bill was also a member of the 2008 Campaign Cabinet, he joined the Board of Directors in 2009.

He also serves on the Baptist Health System Foundation Board, Birmingham Business Alliance Board, Birmingham Downtown Rotary, Birmingham Business Leadership Group, Business Council of Alabama Board, Bryant-Jordan Student-Athlete Program Board, Oakworth Capital Bank Board and the Greater Alabama Council of Boy Scouts.

As chairman of the 2010 Pacesetter Campaign, Bill will lead a team of volunteers and a select group of high performance businesses, corporations and non-profits to take on the challenge to “jump start” the annual campaign. The success and excitement generated by these activities in this “summer” campaign will help inspire other organizations to follow their lead come this Fall.
